DC galleries to celebrate Persian New Year (The Washington DC Examiner)
WASHINGTON — The Smithsonian is celebrating the Persian New Year. Persian New Year — called Norwuz — officially begins March 20, the first day of spring, but the Smithsonian is celebrating on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m at the Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery.
