Layoffs hit two major businesses
Two companies with operations in Burnaby are dropping the axe on employees this month. Gaming giant, Electronic Arts, is cutting about 1,500 positions. The cuts, announced Nov. 9, amount to 16 per cent of the company's global workforce, according to EA communications director Colin Macrae.
